How to set up Client Portal Multi Factor Authentication with an Authenticator App

This article will show you how to set up Multi Factor Authentication with an Authenticator App. Authenticator apps are the most secure method to set up Multi Factor Authentication. Google and Microsoft have free Authenticator Apps that can be downloaded for Android and iOS phones. 

Whichever app you choose to use, you must have it installed on your phone. Search the App store for Ios and the Play store for Android. Search for either "Google Authenticator" or "Microsoft Authenticator" and install the app. 

This is the process to set up your Authenticator App for Multi Factor Authentication once it is installed.

1. Enter your email address
2. Enter your password
3. Click Login. You will see the prompt "More Information Required Medcor needs more information to keep your account secure. Select Next.
4. Click Next. You will be given the option to choose between an authenticator app or text. Select Use Authenticator App. 
5. Click Use Authenticator App. A prompt to "Configure Mobile App" will come up. Scan the QR Code with the Authenticator App.
6. Click Verify.  A "Great Job!" prompt will come up.
7. Click Done and log in. After completing the set up you will be brought back to the login screen. You will be prompted to authenticate through the Authenticator App on your phone each time you log in.
